It wasn't that long ago that I was "excited" by the prospects of a Darnay Scott - Peter Warrick - David Dunn WR corps.  Oh, how I drank the KoolAid in those days.

What's old is new again.

Chad Johnson is hurting; was hurting all through last season.  Now we're told his legs will be 100%, but his shoulder will be iffy until opening day.  Given the club's openness with injuries, he could well be ailing all through 2008 and we wouldn't have a clue.

TJ Whosyourmama hasn't seen the field since the Mock Game.  Maxwell is on IR.  Caldwell is hurt (and green besides).  Chatman was mediocre (49 catches) in his best season in Green Bay, but it appears he'll make the 53 by default.

All that said, let me say I'm welcoming Slim Fifteen back with open (but hesitant) arms.  As long as the club is serious about a ZERO tolerance policy, I can live with the decision.  After all, the charges were dropped that were related to the incident that directly led to his release, for better or for worse.

A WR rotation involving 85 and 84 playing limited time, Glenn Holt, Jerome Simpson on selected pages from the playbook, and (shudder) Chatman, along with more two-TE sets, and Chris Perry and Kenny Watson occasionally split wide, can get the Bengals through to week 5, when Slim becomes eligible and hopefully Chad and TJ are back to form.

Right now, a FA WR seems unnecessary, although one to be brought in as training camp fodder wouldn't be a terrible idea.  Bringing one in with the intention of them making the 53 means the club will be thin for a few weeks, or would have to cut Simpson or Caldwell, which I imagine they are loathe to do.

Chris Henry has the physical tools to be a very good (top thirty) NFL WR.  I want as many guys like that on my team's roster as I can get.  Now they need to sit on him for a season or two so he can keep himself out of trouble.  Best of luck, 15; I'll be cheering you on.

ok , ta gueno mijo ahi lo veo.....Y asi....me puse a empacar una mochila con las cosas mas

elementales, agarre un poquito de dinero y sali para el aeropuerto..... Llegue bastante temprano

y como buen chileno/ mexicano...corri a checar los numeros de confirmacion....una vez que todo

estubo en orden...me  diriji a la puerta de salida y me sente muy tranquilo a observar a los nerviosos viajeros.....faltaba un buen tiempo para la salida y me relaje.......el tiempo pasaba...y mi hijo no llegaba...faltaba una hora y ni rastros de mi muchacho..me empeze a poner nervioso....el tiempo ahora parecia correr.....yo desesperado y llamando por telefono a mi muchacho cada cinco segundos....ya cuando faltaba media hora..ya sudaba yo balas.....y nadie me contestaba...Los altavoces empezaron a llamar por mi hijo...y nada!! .....total....para hacer el cuento corto....se nos fue el avion....mi hijo nunca llego....en esos momentos estaba yo tan en****ado que  se podian freir huevos en mi cabeza.....tenia  pensamientos homicidas en contra de mi vastago....lo imaginaba nadando en una alberca repleta de piranas.....o siendo perseguido por una manada de lobos hambrientos que le mordian salvajemente las nalgas..... Me quede ahi como un ****...sin saber que hacer......furioso, como novio de pueblo....en eso sono el telefono......YA VOY JEFE, YA VOY!!  y colgo al instante....20 minutos mas tarde el telefono sono de nuevo....DONDE ESTA JEFE?? YO ESTOY AQUI....( y me dio santo y sena)  VENGASE...y colgo....

Todo en****ado fui hasta donde me dijo que estaba....y ahi lo vi.....Alto, con el pelo hacia atras, los dientes blancos,perfectos, los ojos llenos de alegria, con ese brillo de la juventud....21 anos contra el mundo....una sonrisa grande, contagiosa, limpia.....ESTE ****!!   al verlo se la deje caer....QUE CLASE DE HINGADERAS SON ESTAS??!! MAS TE VALE QUE TENGAS UNA MUY BUENA EXPLICAC....!!!  Se abalanzo sobre mi....y me dio un abrazo del oso tan fuerte, pero tan fuerte que me faltaba la respiracion, yo me defendia pero aquel jijo nomas no aflojaba. Yo creo que me abrazo para cortarme la respiracion y con eso evitar que le gritara madre y media. Mas enfurecido aun y con el ultimo aliento que me quedaba le dije...SUELTAME ABRON!!  VAN A PENSAR QUE SOMOS JOTOS!!  me solto y me dijo....MIRE JEFE, YA LE EXPLICARE MAS TARDE, AHORA LA COSA ESTA ASI: YA PERDIMOS EL AVION ( perdimos??!!) PERO YO AUN TENGO LA ENTREVISTA MANANA,  ASI QUE VOY A MANEJAR TODA LA NOCHE HASTA VIRGINIA, SI USTED GUSTA LOPASO A DEJAR A SU CASA Y DE AHI ME VOY YO SOLO...( y   aqui empieza el chantaje)....TOTAL...YA TRABAJE MI TURNO DE 24 HORAS SEGUIDAS, QUE MAS DA MANEJAR 12 HORAS MAS??.....

Sin saber ni como, de repente me encontre manejando  rumbo al Estado de Virginia, a mi lado, mi hijo trataba de poner junta una especie de explicacion......creo que dijo algo asi como..:MIRE JEFE, ESTO ES LO QUE PASO............ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ    ZZZZZZZZZZZZ     ZZZZZZZZZZZ  y se quedo dormido!!! Lo vi....dormia en serio.......me dieron ganas de darle un madrazo!! pero.....nah...total.....ya estabamos en camino.....asi maneje por  varias horas....hasta que me canse...y lo desperte para que me relevara....no paramos para  nada que no fuera llenar gas.......asi llegamos a nuestro destino....temprano.....mi hijo se  metio a banar....y salio ya listo, todo rasurado, perfumado, enfundado en un sobervio traje negro, una camisa blanca nueva, corbata guinda....y la inche sonrisa de los dientes perfectos combinada con ese brillo especial de ojos....ME VOY JEFE....TOMARE UN TAXI.....LE LLAMO CUANDO  TODO TERMINE....SALGA A CONOCER LA CIUDAD... y se fue........Me     quede acostado...pensaba dormir toda la manana, pero...hell no!! salte de la casa me bane me arregle y sali a conocer la inche ciudad...pase a desayunar algo ligero....y recorri el lugar  en carro...a las 12 30 llamo mi hijo para que lo recojiera fuimos a  almorzar...se le vei a feliz......y la inche sonrisa mas brillante que nunca y mas contagiosa...fuimos al hotel se cambio,,,check out y nos fuimos a la calle de nuevo....EL AVION SALE HASTA LA NOCHE  me dijo....QUE HACEMOS?  le dije....VENGASE ....nos subimos al carro y manejo, manejo y manejo...hasta que llegamos a washington dc.....nos estacionamos y caminamos...visitamos el Capitolio, bellisimo, y bien resguardado con mucha policia y barreras en el pavimento....visitamos  la Casa Blanca donde teniamos la esperanza de ver a bush...la idea era pararnos  afuera de la  casita y gritarle a bush..." bush!!  vamos a arreglar la cuestion migratoria de una vez por todas!! te retamos a ti y a chenney a una ronda de madrazos....un " mano a mano" ...y si ganamos nosotros le das anmistia a todos....pero lo pensamos dos veces...la verdad es que no nos ibamos a ver muy bien en las  noticias nocturnas de UNIVISION: Dos hispanos arrestados despues de retar a golpes a bush y a chenney. Nah no se ve bien. Visitamos tambien el obelisco...o como le llama mi hijo...la senal que le dice al mundo quien lo tiene mas grande....yo nomas queria ir ahi para que cuando viera la pelicula Forest Gump de nuevo podria yo decir ...ahi estube yo.....ahi donde Forest dijo....And thats all I have to say about that.....bueno terminamos comiendo en un restaurante italiano.....

De regreso agarramos el avion  y veniamos contentos...llegamos aca a media noche.....al despedirnos me dijo.....GRACIAS OLD MAN.....TAKE CARE......... cuidate hijo mio.......le dije

As we creep closer and closer to the regular season, some of the Bengals' most important players -- receivers T.J. Houshmandzadeh, running back Rudi Johnson and defensive end Antwan Odom -- have yet to play in the preseason and will also most likely miss Saturday’s third preseason game, against the Saints at Paul Brown Stadium.

Those stalwarts won't be lonely on the sidelines as receivers Chad Johnson and Marcus Maxwell will join them after injuries within the last week, Maxwell's for the season, according to the team's official website.

Another receiver, the recently signed Chris Henry, probably won't play Saturday and is suspended for the first four games of the season. The oft-arrested receiver also has to avoid violating his latest zero-tolerance directive before he can play for the Bengals.

In the end, the Bengals on the field Saturday won't be the Bengals that started the season on paper.

"You have to go play with what you've got," Bengals offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said. “We've still got people who will be playing that we are counting on. They're just going to have a chance to get more plays earlier in the game."

Jerome Simpson would be the receiver benefiting the most from the extended opportunity. Simpson led the Bengals with five catches for 114 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions.

Quarterback Carson Palmer said the gameplan won't change Saturday just because it's Simpson, Antonio Chatman and company instead of Chad Johnson, Houshmandzadeh and Maxwell.

"We're going to come out and try to execute and run the ball effectively and set up the play-action pass and just be consistent, because that's one thing we've lacked so far this season is consistency in every drive," Palmer said. "So to come out and score on every drive is your goal, obviously, and not having three-and-out situations like we've had in the past because it just puts a lot of stress on the defense and makes their game a lot longer and a lot harder. But just come out and be consistent and not worry who's at X, who's at Z, what tailback we have in the game, which one we don't have in the game. Just execute and play."

Although both Rudi and Chad Johnson, as well as Houshmandzadeh, say they'll be ready for the season-opener in Baltimore, will their absence hurt the timing of the offense?

“That's a good question," Palmer said. "There's so many circumstances: Are T.J. and Chad going to come back at 80 percent? Are they going to come back at 90 percent? Are they going to come back at 100 percent, run full-speed routes? Are they going to be in full-contact drills? There are so many variables to it, it's a tough question to answer. And if I had to answer: I don't know.

"I want as much time as I can get with the guys I'm going to be throwing to, and now I'm limited with their two situations. All I can say and all they can say is we're going to do everything we can to get ready for that Sept. 7 opener and do whatever it takes."

Well, I found this great site while in Facebook. And it seems to be a great place to show off my extended animal family.  today was weird with them though. I haven't been able to afford to get them all fixed and now Pius seems to be going into heat.  Romulus has noticed and he was trying to get on top of her. She was in no mood yet so she smacked him a good one and took off. 

She then came over to me and hid under the desk on my feet. Sometimes I think they beleive they are dogs. Romulus runs to the door when I come home, And Reemus loves to climb up on the couch beside me and cuddle. 

Now they are all sleeping in a ball toggether on my fresholy washed blanket. Of course it has to be the clean one. LOL

So I have to get prepared if we are the couple chosen so I have found a book called the Wedding Day Diet. It is a 30 day diet where you eat only protien and every 7th day you carb up. I am going to try it out as of course every women wants to look as beautiful as they can on their wedding day.

I will keep you updated on how my progress goes. Even if we don't win least I would have kicked started the loss weight. And if we do win then hey I will have my perfect body.

Shetland's economic history is very nearly the same as Ireland's.  Life was tough in Shetland with most of the men fishing and the average citizen struggling to make ends meet.  Then offshore oil drilling began circa 1975, and the economy took off.  It's no longer an oil-based economy.  The financial benefits to the community were used for low-interest loans for business owners, and there are a now a number of thriving businesses in Shetland, the type you'd see in any small town here in the U.K.  Tourism is also being promoted now, particularly to the British, e.g., Shetland just seems far away.
